School Board

The goal of the School Board is to maintain a Catholic elementary educational institution known as St. John Regional Catholic School in accordance with and subject to the standards, guidelines, and discipline of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

The School Board consists of between 10 and 17 voting members and the principal, a non-voting member. The Archbishop of Baltimore appoints Pastors from among the eight regional parishes to serve as voting members of the Board. Board members are recruited for their commitment to Catholic education and their expertise and experience in education, management, accounting/finance, strategic planning, event planning, and development, among other skills.

The Board’s leadership includes a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. Work is accomplished through the following standing committees: Executive, Finance, Development, Membership, and Facilities. We approve and ensure implementation of overall policies with respect to mission, facilities/maintenance, finances/budget, as well as support the strategic planning, institutional health, and overall operation of the school (excluding personnel and curriculum).

We plan to explore new ways to share who we are and what we do for the SJRCS community.
